If you need more art for your house or are looking for something fun to do on a Saturday afternoon, consider a visit to the 3rd Annual Art Pop-Up+ Shop at Town Brookhaven. The show will be open for three consecutive Thursdays through Sundays beginning September 12 and ending September 29. Located next to Salon Red and a few doors from Look Dine-In Cinemas in the Town Brookhaven shopping center, the boutique art pop-up will feature art, jewelry, and gift items from local artists as well as talent from outside the city and even other continents.

 

The pop up is the brainchild of srmART CONNECT (an arts consultancy) and Explore Brookhaven, a non-profit promoting tourism and events in the City of Brookhaven.  

 

The spring 2023 Art Pop-Up featured 20 plus mixed-media artists, jewelry creators, and artisans showcasing unique home décor, garden pieces, children’s books, and more. In addition to local artists, like Historic Brookhaven resident Sabre Esler, it included artists from South Africa, Haiti, and Eastern India.

 

“Every year, Explore Brookhaven has been an integral part of the Art Pop-Up in Town Brookhaven,” says Sharon Moskowitz, founder of srmART CONNECT. “Curating this amazing show and sale is a wonderful way of bringing art to life with ongoing support and collaboration from the community. These talented artists bring incredible value. They are in-person, talking about their artwork, generating interest, and creating a draw for other area businesses.”

 

Explore Brookhaven and srmART Connect support the Pop-Up because it is an investment in the local arts scene. It’s more than just a singular event -- it's a canvas for community interaction, they note. They also hope the Art Pop-Up will be seen as a place for current and future artists to have their work seen and appreciated.
