What prompted you to start this business?
I have always loved helping friends and family decorate their homes for the holidays. I get it from my wonderful mother!
Describe how your company works.
Holiday by Hannah takes the stress out of creating a home for the holidays! We start our season with fall porch décor, decorating porches using farm-fresh pumpkins, gourds, and mums. In November and December, we offer holiday gift wrap and interior Christmas and Holiday décor installation.
What do you find is unique about this business?
Something I think is unique is we are not just selling you a premade package, but I take the time to make sure that every porch, home, and gift is specially designed for you and your taste. I want my clients to know they are getting their money's worth when they trust me with their seasonal décor.
What advice can you offer to other female business owners?
As a business owner with a full-time day job, the best advice I can give other female business owners is to ask for help when you need it! I could not be where I am today without the support I have gotten from women in my community, my family and even strangers who happened to be in a position to help.
What events led you to the business?
My husband for sure, is the main reason I finally took the plunge on this dream! I remember telling someone else in a past life that I wanted to do this and they said it was a stupid idea. I talked about this business idea one day with Steven and he had set up the LLC within a week. Without his encouragement and help Holiday by Hannah would not be a thing, and I am so blessed to call him my business partner!
What section of town do you service?
We currently live in Smyrna, Georgia, but we have clients all over metro Atlanta! We have found that neighborhoods like Brookhaven and Historic Marietta are our key places of business growth.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up just around the corner in East Cobb.
Tell us about your family.
It is just my husband and I - and our pup Leroy.
What are you most grateful for?
My faith and family are my number one and two things; without them, none of what I have or do would be worth much. But honestly, I have so much to be thankful for. This past year has been so good to me; I got married, opened Holiday by Hannah, and started a new day job- I could fill this whole magazine by giving thanks.
