SUBHEAD = 1/Meet the Fristoes

Katherine and Jamie Fristoe met in 1985 in downtown Los Angeles. Katherine was an accounting intern and Jamie already a CPA. They started dating, moved to Georgia, and bought their first Historic Brookhaven house after marrying in 1989. Jamie continued in financial roles while Katherine explored her creative side. She is now a CAbi clothing rep. They have three children.

SUBHEAD= 2/Luna the Westie and Riley the Goldendoodle

The Poindexters say they picked pets with personalities similar to theirs. Westie Luna is fiercely competitive, “just like all of our daughters,” says Brenda. Riley the Goldendoodle likes to make nightly rounds to check on family members, just as neonatologist Brenda does during the day with her patients. Brenda and her husband Dave have four adult daughters.

SUBHEAD = 3/Landmark: The Lampposts of East Brookhaven

Have you ever noticed as you drive along East Brookhaven from Farmington Lane to the Brookhaven/East Brookhaven Drive triangle that there are no power wires and instead of utility poles stately black lampposts? In 1999, neighbor Roberta Byce spearheaded the project to make the street beautiful and grand. It was completed in 2002.

SUBHEAD = 4/The BGs Create Community on Club

Twelve years ago Club Drive resident Melissa Longosz invited a group of neighbors to join a monthly gathering. It started with 12 nearby homes and has grown to 25. In addition to monthly events, the Block Girls (BGs), also known as Booze Girls, have a Dirty Santa Christmas party. They also maintain a text thread with birthday messages and announcements.
