Prospect neighbor, Todd Cissell, enjoyed a long manufacturing career before retiring early to serve his local neighbors as the Owner of Handy Home Repair.  A master electrician by trade – yet a “jack of all trades” too – Todd helps neighbors with a variety of home repairs. It is not uncommon for him to fix a garbage disposal, hang a television, install a new light switch, and fix a squeaky door all in a day!

After two decades at Jim Beam, followed by a quick climb up the corporate ladder at multiple Fortune-500 manufacturing plants after that, Todd checked off every career goal on his career bucket list along with maintaining his own rental property portfolio.  Then, during the pandemic in 2020, he noticed a neighbor on the Next Door app posting for help hanging a ceiling fan.  With nothing much else to do in the evenings during the pandemic, Todd drove down the street to help her, and Handy Home Repair was born!  Only one year later, Todd retired early to concentrate on Handy Home Repair “full-time.”

Todd uses air quotes around full-time, because he also spends about three months a year travelling the world with his wife, Tammy – our Stroll Hunting Creek publisher!  The couple’s 2024 travel goals were to finish visiting all 50 states, and they are close!  They will be doing an Alaskan cruise in 2025 to hit their 49th state visited. They also just did a fantastic vacation to US Territory, Puerto Rico, in October. They love travel so much that Tammy has moved on from Stroll Hunting Creek to open up a travel agency called Tammy Vacays.
