We are excited to introduce you to the LaMaster family this month! Kristin and Drew LaMaster moved to Hunting Creek last year with their three daughters, Annabelle (8), Lilly (6) and Maddie (3). They joined Hunting Creek Country Club in 2016 and were excited to move into the neighborhood. “We love how spread out everything is and how close we are to all the activities we have enjoyed these past 6 years. Most importantly, the people. Everyone is so welcoming and inclusive,” said Kristin.

 

Kristin grew up in Bloomfield Hills, MI. She went to an all-girls Catholic high school and played various sports (tennis, ski team, track, and flag football). She developed a passion for running while attending the University of Notre Dame where she obtained a BBA in Marketing. Kristin ran her first marathon (the Detroit Marathon) at the age of 20. She currently works for Shadowhound, an executive search firm that allows her to work from home while occasionally traveling to New York and Greece. Drew grew up in Prospect, attending South Oldham High School before getting a BBA in Marketing from Xavier University. He was very active in sports–particularly track and cross country–and has served as North Oldham High School’s cross country/track coach, leading them to numerous state championships. He is currently Director of Employee Benefits/Partner at Insuramax and has 19 years in the industry.

 

“We are a very active family. During the summer, the older two are on the swim team, play tennis, and have recently started golf. We are hoping that Maddie may make an appearance on the swim team sometime this summer as well. During the school year, both older girls are on the basketball team, and Lilly plays soccer in the fall and Spring. They also do year-round swim at the University of Louisville and are involved in Brownies and Daisy Scouts. Maddie is close to getting her feet wet with school activities. Drew can be found on the golf course almost every Friday and whenever else he has a free afternoon. He also enjoys running to stay in shape. I am an avid runner (14 full marathons to date and numerous halves), balanced out with some yoga and barre. I have started to play golf and have no excuse now that the women's tee to the 4th hole is in my backyard!” said Kristin.

 

The LaMasters go to Punta Mita, Mexico, every year for Thanksgiving with Kristin’s family where they have a partial residence and countless happy memories. They also visit Kristin’s hometown in Michigan a few times a year where the girls do “Dede/Papa Camp” with her parents. They root for Notre Dame football, Xavier basketball, and the Cincinnati Bengals. The girls love dance parties to Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran as well as watching Sing 2, Fuller House, Up, and Cocomelon. Gustavos, Seviche, and Stoney River are their favorite local restaurants.
