Daisy’s Dream Life: A German Shepherd’s Tale of Family, Fun, and Love

Tommy Teays: Hi Daisy! It’s so great to talk to you today. First off, can you tell us a bit about your family?
Daisy: Thank you for having me, Tommy! My family is the best—there’s Mommy Beckey and Daddy Todd, who are always spoiling me, and my dog brother, Mowgli. He’s a riot, and we have so much fun together. Oh, and I can’t forget my best human buddy, my cousin Ava. She’s been my partner in crime since she was born!
Tommy Teays: It sounds like you’re surrounded by love! How did your family choose your name?
Daisy: Well, the Watts family has a tradition of naming their German Shepherds after Disney characters. My name was chosen by another cousin, Emma. She thought "Daisy" was perfect for me, and I have to agree—it suits me to a tee!
Tommy Teays: I hear you’re pretty gentle and lovable, especially with kids. Can you tell me about your bond with Ava?
Daisy: Oh, Ava is my favorite! We’ve been inseparable since she was born. I was just a puppy when she came into the world, so we’ve grown up together. I know when it’s time to pick her up because I can sense it—we turn onto her street, and my tail just can’t stop wagging! She’s always up for fun.
Tommy Teays: That sounds adorable! What are some of your favorite things to do with Mowgli and your other doggy friends?
Daisy: Mowgli and I love to play ring around the rosy. We chase each other around every table in the house—it’s hilarious! My other best pals are Arlo and Finn, and we always have a blast when we’re together. I do miss my buddy, Rudy, though—he moved to California recently, but I hope he’s having fun over there.
Tommy Teays: I’ve heard you’re quite the traveler. What was it like visiting The Greenbrier?
Daisy: Oh, The Greenbrier was pawsitively fabulous! They treated me like royalty—I even got my special food served on china. Can you believe it? My family always makes sure I feel special, and that trip was no exception.
Tommy Teays: It’s clear your family loves you very much. How do they spoil you at home?
Daisy: Oh, they’re the best! Every morning, Mowgli and I get a home-cooked breakfast of scrambled eggs with a side of milk bones. It’s delicious! They also let me hang my head out of the SUV window when we’re driving around town—it’s the best feeling ever. Folks see me and say there goes “Day Day.”
Tommy Teays: Daisy, you’re living the dream! Is there anything you’d like to say?
Daisy: Every day with my family is a blessing, and I’m so thankful for their love. If you see me cruising around town or playing with Ava, don’t be shy—come say hi! And please, keep me in your prayers for good health, as I have had some issues recently. I’m one lucky pup, and I hope to keep making memories for years to come. Gotta run Tommy here goes Mowgli, time to play!
