Meet Molly

PRECIOUS PETS ON THE PORCHES OF I’ON

I had a rough early puppyhood as I guess my owners didn’t love me much and they always kept me in a cage or tied to a tree. Often they would leave me alone for days when they went away. When I was about six months old my owners left me tied to the tree again and the kind people next door cut the rope and took me to the very nice lady at Southern Tails Pet Rescue. She put some medicine on my skin that had been rubbed off from the tree, fed me, bathed me (I didn’t like that), and got on the phone to some guy that was looking for a rescue. The next thing I knew I was in her car and we drove into some neighborhood by the name of I’On. My new owner seemed very excited to meet me, but I was kinda scared as I had never walked on hardwood floors before (they were slippery) and had no idea what these stair thingies were. I couldn’t believe that he had food and water for me and he had bought double-stacked Costco beds for me to sleep on. I discovered I’On’s many trails and dog get-together areas and we have also found many dog-friendly shops and restaurants. The people at Lowe’s and Home Depot all know my name and many of them have treats.

My first and best friend is Lilly Feldman. I met her the first day in my new hood and we still have so much fun playing together. I absolutely love golf cart rides, but my dad still won’t let me drive or jump out to chase squirrels.

Maybe my favorite thing is to just hang out with my dad on the couch, although it can be kinda stressful during football season. I guess it’s tough to be a Bengals fan.
He even takes me with him to homeowner meetings, which I find to be very boring
I especially like it when my three aunts and their nine kids come to visit. Boy does it get crazy, but it’s sooo fun and they sneak me a lot of snacks.
My dad tells his friends that he has to take me places with him because of my past I have bad separation anxiety, they just laugh and say “well perhaps she’s not the one with separation anxiety”!

If you’re ever on the marsh path and walk by the fire pit stop by and say hi, I always like to meet new people and pups.

Love, Molly
