What would Stroll Ibis be without our Precious Pets of the Month? For some residents, it’s the first article they look for each month. They look forward to seeing the wide variety of furry

faces to give them a smile or a chuckle at their curious antics and habits. A couple of times, I

have even been told that someone remembered a resident’s name when they met them by first

recognizing the dog at the end of the leash and figuring out who the owner was from the memorable story about their pet. There are a lot more pets inside the gates that deserve to have their tale told. While I do visit the dog park on occasion and meet members who would like to chat about their pets, some of the best stories we have featured have been by

recommendations from other residents, some of which want their dog’s best buddies to also get their time on the pages of Stroll. The list of new pets for future issues is growing, but we always have room to add more in the future. While our dog-centric stories are easy to come by, we would love to add a few cats or the occasional horse, bird, or reptile. Unfortunately, those stories are much more difficult to find, as you can imagine. However, those who share their home with these loveable creatures should also reach out, as there is definitely a place for them.
