Alan Morin's name is synonymous with excellence and longevity in the world of golf, particularly within the South Florida PGA Section. With a career spanning over three decades, Morin has established himself as a formidable player and an influential figure in the golfing community.

28 Years as a Class A PGA Member Morin's journey in golf began over 28 years ago when he became a Class A PGA member. This milestone marked the beginning of a career filled with numerous accolades and contributions to the sport. Achieving quarter-century status, Morin has shown unparalleled dedication and commitment to the game.

2021 Hall of Fame Inductee In 2021, Morin's contributions and achievements were formally recognized when he was inducted into the South Florida PGA Section Hall of Fame. This honor reflects his significant impact on the sport and his standing within the golfing community.

PGA Cup Team and Championships Morin's talent has seen him represent the United States in the PGA Cup Team in 2003 and 2015. His participation in major tournaments includes being a contestant in the US Open twice, six times in the PGA Championship, four times in the Senior PGA Championship, and an impressive twenty times qualifier for the National PGA Club Professional Championship. Additionally, he qualified five times for the National Senior PGA Club Professional Championship and twelve times for the National PGA Assistant Professional Championship.

Player of the Year Titles Morin's dominance in the South Florida PGA Section is underscored by his eleven-time Player of the Year titles and three-time Senior Player of the Year titles. Notably, he is the only player in history to hold both senior and junior Player of the Year titles in back-to-back years (2021 and 2022). He has also been a seven-time Player of the Year for the Southeast PGA Chapter and a nine-time Player of the Year for the Southeast PGA Assistant Association.

Tournament Wins and Records Throughout his career, Morin has amassed an impressive number of tournament wins. He is a five-time champion of the South Florida PGA Section Championship and has also claimed victory in the South Florida PGA Senior Section Championship. His record-breaking performance at the South Florida PGA Open, where he finished at 23 under par (63-66-69-67=265), remains a highlight of his career. Morin's other notable wins include three-time champion of the South Florida PGA Fort Lauderdale Open, South Florida PGA Assistant Championship, and South Florida National PGA CPC Qualifier Tournament. In 2003, he won the Sunshine State PGA Professional Championship and has three wins on the Grey Goose/Gateway Tour.

Professional Tour Qualifications Morin's skill and consistency have earned him multiple qualifications for major professional tours. He has qualified twelve times for the PGA Tour Honda Classic, four times for the PGA Tour Ford Championship at Doral, and four times for the PGA Tour Puerto Rico Open. Additionally, he has qualified ten times for the Korn Ferry Tour Miccosukee Championship and was a Korn Ferry Tour member in 2010 and 2013. He has also been a four-time PGA Tour Champions associate member.

Recent Accomplishments Even in recent years, Morin continues to add to his illustrious career. In 2023, he won the South Florida PGA Section Bushnell Senior Stroke Play Tournament and the South Florida PGA Section’s Fort Lauderdale Classic, capturing both the senior and junior divisions.   Alan qualified for the 2023 CHUBB Classic on the PGA Tour Champions in Naples and in 2022 he received a distinguished alumni award from his alma mater, Ferris State University.

South Florida PGA Cup Team Morin's consistent excellence has seen him qualify twenty-seven times for the South Florida PGA Cup Team, underscoring his long-standing presence and impact in the sport.
