Illahe Stroll Pet Photographer Honored
Rebecca Cozart is one of the Best of the Mid-Valley
Samples of Rebecca's work.
Rebecca Cozart is a pet photographer who started as a fine art photographer. NosesTailsPaws Pet Photography is based in Keizer, Oregon, and she does both outdoor and studio images of dogs and cats (and a ferret and a gecko and a hedgehog and a bearded dragon!).
When she was a child, her parents bought her one of those cameras with the square flash bulbs that popped when she took a picture and then popped off afterward. Rebecca loved the burnt smell and the noise they made. She has owned a camera of some sort for more than 30 years.
Rebecca took pictures with Kodak cameras as a child, moved into throwing pots and beadwork, and then tried her hand at mosaics (too much glass crunching, and the grout never really set up as it said in the book). She never stopped taking photos but decided to grow her hobby in 2004. Rebecca realized photography is the best, most versatile way to express her creativity. She has sold fine art images online worldwide and in local galleries, but dogs and cats kept calling to her.
In 2014, she began photographing dogs and cats doing what dogs and cats do, and NosesTailsPaws Pet Photography was created. While talking with Molly—her Wheaten Terrier—about her new venture, Molly helped name the business!
Most bios start with "_____________ is an award-winning photographer." Her "awards" are the smiles on pet parents' faces as she hands them their Keepsake boxes, albums, and prints!
In 2022 and 2023, NosesTailsPaws Pet Photography won the Best Photographer in the "Best of the Mid-Valley," and NosesTailsPaws Pet Photography won again this year in 2024!
NosesTailsPaws Pet Photography has been lucky to photograph many wonderful dogs and cats. Each one is special – and each one touches Rebecca's heart.
