A New Wolfe on Wall Street

Haydon Jackson Bode (18) tells us about his plans for the future!

I graduated from Page High School, and while there, I participated in the student council, serving as junior class president and senior class president. I oversaw the entire student council and help lead projects. I was also the president of the photography club, where I helped create fun new activities for the members. I was also on the National Honor Society, Film Club and Poetry Club. I was the head copywriter on the yearbook as well as took photos of many sporting and social events.

My plans are to attend UNC Chapel Hill and study journalism and business through their Honors College. I am a Kenan-Flager pre-admit Bodford Scholarship recipient, as well. I have always had a passion for photography and would like to continue pursuing it in a photojournalistic sense. I have also had a longheld interest in the stock market and finance. I would like to work on Wall Street before getting my MBA and one day, hopefully, retire from finance and be a freelance photographer or start a photojournalism company.

If you were to ask my friends or family how they would describe me, they would say my relentless spirit and inability to accept no for an answer, the positive effect I have on others, and the way that I try to see the good in the world around me.

I also want to add by saying that I have cherished my experience working with Stroll. The collaboration in writing articles about my photos and the interview process was phenomenal. It felt incredible to be trusted to be the sole photographer for important issues, and I wouldn’t have traded my time here for anything else.

Fun Fact
I am obsessed with The Great Gatsby.
