The time we spend building memories with our families is priceless! For the Distel family, this is the fuel that drives their hearts! They've built their Kingsgate lives around togetherness, super fun activities, giving back to the community, and spreading their amazing faith to those around them!

 

The Distel household includes Tim, Amber, Bryson (11) and Harper (9). Tim has served with the Lubbock Fire Department for 15 years and uses his talents at J Ferg Roofing & Foam. Amber has built her dream career with Gospel Wellness. She gets to educate her sweet clients on maintaining wellness and loving their bodies for life. Talk about setting some strong examples of hard work and self-discipline for your kids! Papaw

 

Bryson and Harper are learning from a young age that pursuing your passions takes dedication but gives back the fun in spades! Bryson has a massive love for baseball and basketball! Other favorites for this rising athlete include hunting with his Papaw and hitting the water with his tube and wakeboard. Not to be outdone by her big brother, Harper's interests include gymnastics, cheer, and basketball. This young beauty has competed with Raider X for three years! Both Bryson and Harper enjoy being super active and the joyful friendships they're making along the way!

 

Whenever the family isn't busy with work or extracurriculars, you can bet they're having a ball together! The kitchen is one place where everyone gravitates. "My kids love the kitchen!" Amber gushes. Building cheesy lasagna, frying up fried chicken, and baking potatoes are some household favorites. They all love getting outdoor games going like kickball, driveway basketball, tennis, or bike riding are some hobbies the whole crew jumps in on.

 

Another place that is close to everyone's hearts is the lake! Every Christmas and Fourth of July, the entire family gathers together at a lake house. "Forming relationships is so important," Amber says. “Everyone puts away their devices and uses the time to reconnect. Boating, gathering around the fire, dominos, and roasting smores are opportunities that are never missed.” 

 

This group understands that having a strong family unit is everything! Whether they're raising their hands in praise at Trinity Church, attending the latest sporting event, or just enjoying their surroundings in Kingsgate, you can bet there's a smile on their faces and love in their hearts!
