Founded by dynamic husband-and-wife duo, Dr. Mike Tran and Dr. Catherine Castillo, FLOSS Dental of Magnolia provides a level of service they refer to as “unconditional.” Dr. Tran and Dr. Castillo understand that your smile deserves the very best; they aim to deliver every patient the most advanced, highly-individualized experience available in dental today. Always operating as a team, Dr. Tran and Dr. Castillo, and all of FLOSS Dental, have curated a blend of expertise, compassion, and family-centered values that ensure each patient receives personalized care in a warm and welcoming environment. 

    

Before they were a power couple in the world of smiles, Dr. Tran and Dr. Castillo had their own respective journeys. Originally from Florida, Dr. Castillo earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Nova Southern University, followed by her Master’s in Biomedical Sciences from Barry University, then her Doctorate of Dental Sciences from Howard University in Washington D.C. During her education and career, Dr. Casillo’s dedication to humanitarian work led her to participate in dental outreach programs both locally and abroad, which included missions to Jamaica and Texas.

Dr. Tran had a similar journey to dental success, but his story began in Sugar Land, Texas, rather than Florida.  Dr. Tran earned dual Bachelor degrees in Business Management and Spanish at Texas Tech University, then earned a MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, followed by a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Howard University, and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at the UT Health Science Center in Houston. Dr. Tran is deeply involved in various dental associations and maintains a commitment to continuing education and ensuring his patients receive the highest quality of care

Together, Dr. Castillo and Dr. Tran share a passion for dentistry and a commitment to compassionate care. If you see them outside of the office, nix the scrubs and hygienic masks, you are likely to see Dr. Castillo and Dr. Tran with their three children, with whom they love to spend their time. Dr. Castillo is a dedicated baseball, soccer, and cheer mom, and Dr. Tran enjoys family time, traveling, trying new culinary experiences, and going to the gym.

Beyond providing the highest care to their patients in the dental chair, FLOSS actively contributes to the local community through numerous sponsorship programs, such as the Magnolia High Texas Star Dance Team. By supporting initiatives that promote cultural and athletic development among youth, they demonstrate their commitment to enhancing the community's vitality and nurturing the talents of future leaders. This sponsorship not only enriches the lives of young dancers but also fosters a sense of unity and pride within Magnolia and its surrounding areas.
