Virginia Lane Studio
The work at Virginia Lane Studio is inspired by Virginia’s travels and the natural world around her. Organic shapes and natural materials allow her to design with purpose and create spaces with an air of minimalism.
Before launching Virginia Lane Studio, Virginia earned degrees in both Interior Design and Art History from the University of Georgia’s Lamar Dodd School of Art and Design in 2016. During her time at UGA, she had the opportunity to live in New York City and work at Christie’s Auction House. She also studied abroad in Cortona, Italy, where she was able to focus on painting and the history of art. Virginia continued her study of art internationally at The University of Edinburgh, completing her master's degree in Modern and Contemporary Art: History, Curating, and Criticism. Since the completion of her master's degree in 2017, she has been working as an interior designer and artist in Louisiana and Texas, realizing an immense love for producing beautiful works of art and creating unique spaces. Her designs have a reputation for her use of texture and natural sophistication within the spaces she creates.
Virginia Lane Studio creates elevated custom interiors for remodels, new construction, and commercial buildings. From architectural plan reviewing to the selection of exterior finishes, paint, plumbing, cabinet design, flooring, lighting, furniture, and accessories, they customize their design work to their clients' specific needs. Each client has a specific vision and the goal of Virginia Lane Studio is to bring that intention to life, enhancing the client's own vision and bringing it to life, allowing each completed project to reflect the homeowner's style. Virginia's goal is to create spaces that stand the test of time, evade trends, and represent the unique vision of the homeowner or business.
Beyond designing for clients, Virginia Lane Studio is a member of the Magnolia Chamber of Commerce and aims to contribute interior design needs to the growing community. When she’s not designing interiors or working in the community, you can find Virginia with a paintbrush in hand, working alongside her husband on their family business, Oxbow Leather Co., or off on an adventure with their dog, Kahlo.
In the future, Virginia Lane Studio is looking forward to bringing a Parade of Homes to the Magnolia area. Participating in Parades of Homes in other cities has been a wonderful experience for their business and for homeowners to gather ideas and meet both builders and designers. They hope to bring a tour of homes to the local community. It is important to plan ahead when it comes to building or renovating, as it is much easier to make changes to construction projects on the front end. If you're not sure which direction to go with a project, hiring an interior design is a great idea. Designers can save you time and expenses when expertise is offered. They would love to help you with your building, renovating, or decorating project!
