Vickie has loved kitties since her early days as a child. She continued that love well into adulthood and as of today she has two kitties and a puppy.

She was born in Hawthorne, Nevada, moved to Seattle, Washington with her husband and then moved back to Nevada and settled in Reno, Nevada. After her divorce, she met and married her current husband, Dorlon Peckham. Together, they developed the salon and spa business.  They recently sold their last business, Posh Salon & Medical Spa (where you can still find Dorlon as a hairstylist) and are pursuing other ventures.

Vickie started her Kittie writing in 2022.  She currently completed two hard-cover Kittie books along with a hard-cover coloring book for children ages 4 – 10.  Her love of kitties inspired her to write about kitties and has found there are many “Kittie lovers” out there who she can connect with.

Her entrepreneurial spirit began while living with her parents as she watched them start their own restaurant business.  While in school, she began helping her mother with the bookwork. She followed suit by running her own businesses which included walk-in and drive-in movie theaters, restaurants and bars, a women’s fashion boutique, real estate investments and home and trailer rentals.

Later, she opened her first hair salon and quickly grew that business and expanded by adding the spa business with Dorlon.  With their business now sold as of about one year ago, she is now free to focus on her writing.  What better subject to write about than her life with her kitties?

Her hope and goals are for children and their parents to understand kitties and how much love they bring to the home. Kitties are just amazing when you get to understand them.

She has discovered she has many “kitty-lover friends” across the globe that will connect with her messages.  Her writings are educational and beautiful as well as humorous for the readers.  Parents will enjoy these kitty adventures as much as their children as they read them together.
