Dinner and A Movie

At Lakewood Rotary's fourth "Dinner and a Movie," over 40 guests stepped back into the 1950s for a fun-filled evening at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club. Steve Enquist won best-dressed in his 50s outfit, while Veronica Bronkema and Joe Quinn rocked the Twist dance contest. Stephanie Wilcox and family decked out the venue in Grease-themed decor, creating a nostalgic atmosphere with centerpiece flowers that looked like ice cream sodas and a photo booth designed to resemble a 50s red convertible, adding to the retro vibes. Greg Rediske curated the soundtrack as our Dick Clark-style DJ, setting the perfect tone for the festivities. Attendees enjoyed a private screening of Grease and participated in activities like a dance-off and the popular photo booth, making it a night to remember filled with classic fun and camaraderie.

Among the guests were familiar faces from our Stroll Lakeside community: Kris and Joe Quinn, Veronica and Carl Bronkema, Phil and Judy Eng, Wendy McGowan, Greg and Mary Horn, and Steve and Anne Enquist. Their presence made the event special, creating cherished memories of a past era.
