In October 2023, after years of working for employers who lacked care for their employees, customers, and ethical practices, Vinny Piccar made a life-changing decision. "I vowed never to work for anyone like that again," Vinny recalls. His experiences taught him a lot, mostly about what not to do, and highlighted a significant gap in the cleaning industry—high-quality services, high-quality people, and a positive perspective. This realization led him to launch his own business, Piccar's Xtreme Cleaning, with the aim of providing exceptional cleaning services and coaching and consulting to other cleaning companies and businesses of all sizes that handle their own cleaning.

Piccar's Xtreme Cleaning specializes in providing high-quality residential, commercial, and industrial cleaning services. The company's offerings include specialty services like carpet cleaning, window cleaning, pressure washing, sky vacuuming, and comprehensive floor care, such as sealing, strip & wax, buffing, top scrubbing, and refinishing. Additionally, Piccar's Xtreme Cleaning provides consulting and coaching for other cleaning companies, even their competitors, and businesses that manage their cleaning in-house.

With over a decade of experience in the cleaning industry and six years in business improvement and management, Vinny brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. "We take training very seriously, perhaps to an extreme," Vinny admits. "Not only do I create training videos myself, but I'm also constantly learning to help our technicians deliver top-quality cleaning services." The company participates in several programs, such as 3M Cleaning Academy, ISSA, Buckeye Honors, and Sunbelt, ensuring that their technicians have certification requirements that are regularly renewed to maintain high standards and prevent complacency.

Currently, Piccar's Xtreme Cleaning boasts a dedicated team of three employees. Based in New Alexandria, the company serves Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio.

"It's one of the reasons I decided to use my last name for the company," Vinny explains. The name carries deep significance, from his grandfather's brother, Vincent Piccar, who died in Vietnam, to his father and son, both named Vincent. "My dream is to one day employ any family member who wants to join us, but until then, we treat our customers and employees as an extension of our family."

Vinny also shares a glimpse into his personal life. "Family means the world to me," he says. "Growing up, I always wanted to be a father, and I got lucky when I met Dakota. She's an amazing mother and partner, and I couldn't do any of this without her." The couple has two wonderful children, Vincent, who will be five in October, and Evalina, who just turned three. Their family gatherings are lively, with Vinny's three brothers and their kids, all close in age, providing plenty of cousins for their children to grow up with.

When it comes to vacations, the Piccar's Xtreme Cleaning family loves Hershey Park. "We visit Aunt Genny and Uncle Bill every year," Vinny shares. "We started this tradition just before Vincent was born. We love the amusement and water park, and as a lover of sweets, it's a perfect destination for me."
