Le Triomphe Newbies!
Christopher, Marcie, Roane, Gabe, & Appoline Patout

Meet one of Le Triomphe’s newest families, the Patouts. Christopher and Marcie, along with their children- Roan (9), Gabe (7), and Appoline (4)- moved to their Masterspoint Drive address in October 2024.
The Jeanerette natives have been married for 10 years, but familiar all the way back to childhood when they both attended St. Joseph Catholic School. Their paths diverged as Chris went on to finish at Hanson Memorial High School in Franklin while Marcie attended Catholic High School in New Iberia.
For Chris, the road from Hanson led to Nicolls State University in Thibodeaux where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business. Chris then went on to complete a two-year Agricultural Leadership course at LSU, fully preparing himself to step in to his role as an 8th-generation Sugarcane Farmer. Marcie went on from Catholic High to earn her license as a Cosmetologist from Aveda Institute, and she’s also a Certified Medical Aesthetician, and a Pharmacy Technician.
Today, Chris leads the family business, farming in Iberia and St. Mary Parish while Marcie’s schedule is kept plenty full caring for the kiddos, the home, and the family pets- oh yeah, forgot to mention those before. The four-legged family lineup includes Husky Luna, rescued French Bulldog Sherry, Siamese Cat Pancake. Back to the actual children- the boys attend Highland Baptist Christian School in New Iberia, and Appoline is enrolled to start at St. Cecilia next year. Flag football is the next activity on the boys’ horizon, and Appoline is already loving her weekly dance classes.
They left behind bayou property in the country, complete with their own free-range chickens, when they made the move Le Triomphe. And while there are moments they still feel a bit country-come-to-town, they’ve quickly fallen in love with much that living behind the gates has to offer. “We love taking the kids to the park, riding around in the golf cart to visit friends and family, and taking Luna out for a walk while the kids ride bikes with their friends. And we’ve found so many other things we love close by: Baranda’s, Misfits, Nash’s, and Mel’s are all family favorites already.”
When the busy harvest season ends each year, the Patout’s look forward to rewarding themselves with travel together. Favorite destinations include the family camp at Cypremort Point, road trips to Biloxi, New Orleans, Pensacola, and Houston, and the real highlights like Disney World and Jamaica.
But they also relish time at home and the memories to be made and cherished there. Chris loves to keep a garden that supplies the kitchen with fresh vegetables and herbs for the wide variety of home-cooked meals they love to prepare together. Marcie treasures her home and yard, so the time spent tending to their beautification is a labor of love. And they both love regular trips out to the family farm and sugar mill to grow the boys’ appreciation for the distinct heritage into which they’ve been born.
And then there are the family traditions, some more official than others, that have become the markers of time passing on the calendar. Le Triomphe trick-or-treating that long pre-dates their status as residents; the celebratory first deer hunting trip to Woodville each year when harvesting is complete; homemade Christmas cookie and dessert making in the kitchen with family; and hosting the whole family each year for the 4th of July; each highly anticipated opportunities for memory-making each year.
Welcome to the neighborhood Patout family- thank you for the chance to make your introduction!
