Give a Boy/Dog a Ball...

Fetch Fanatic, Rustin Barras

Meet Rustin!  This handsome boy is the beloved grand-dog of Stroll Fernewood publishers Mark & Jodi Barras.  And- excuse their tiny bias- maybe the sweetest and cutest Aussie Doodle you ever did meet.

They say when you give a boy a baseball, you give him far more than just a ball.  Well, when you give Rustin a ball, it’s best to know what you’ve signed up for. Because rest assured, you’ve gotten yourself a new best friend, and a playmate that will long outlast your offer.

Rustin makes sure no opportunity for fetch is missed, and he’s definitely not too proud to beg for one; heck, he’s not even too proud to pull together some solitaire fetch when desperate times call for desperate measures. Climbing into bed with mom and dad?  Those two fetch balls are mostly there so no time is lost when that alarm clock sounds.  But if the sudden urge hits in the middle of night…well, you can never be too prepared when it comes to fetch.

Undeterred by whatever other mundane task you may have allowed to momentarily distract you from fetch, you can count on Rustin to remind you regularly of his availability.  Need a break from folding those clothes?  He’s got you.  Looking for an excuse to take a mid-meal break?  He’ll send a ball your way right across the table.  And study breaks?  Rustin will allow about five minutes of uninterrupted study time between games of fetch before he’s pawing a ball not-so-subtly in your direction.

But it’s not ALL fetch games with Rustin.  He’s equally reliable for a warm cuddle, or just a game of where-are-you-going, I’ll-come-too.  He truly never gets enough of loving on his people, and there’s really nothing- except maybe a prospective new fetch partner- that can steal away his loyal attention.

Thank you Brooks, Misty, Bailee, Brycen & Bentley for the introduction to your precious pup.
