The Strickland Family
“We're thrilled to be part of the De Pere School District and the Ledgeview community, surrounded by wonderful neighbors who make us feel right at home.”
The Strickland family made the move from Madison to De Pere/Ledgeview two years ago, and it’s been an adventure ever since. Ben took on the role of Head Football Coach at De Pere High School and is gearing up for his third season with the Red Birds.
Ben wears two hats at De Pere High School, balancing his roles as Head Football Coach and Special Education Teacher. Meanwhile, Laura works as the Partner Success Manager for Carex Consulting Group, a Wisconsin-based, women-owned company specializing in finding talent in fields like Technology, Sales & Marketing, Human Resources and more.
Their two kids, Zoe and Milo, keep things lively. Zoe, who is 10 and in fifth grade, is all about gymnastics and singing. Milo is an energetic 6 -year-old , who loves drawing, playing outside, and all sports. Together, they love escaping to the family cottage in Three Lakes, Wisconsin. “There's nothing better than a day spent with loved one’s boating, swimming, having a campfire, and watching the sunset”.
For Ben, coaching is more than just football. He believes in helping young people grow into responsible and empathetic adults who can make a difference in the world. His vision for De Pere Football is to give every student-athlete an amazing experience through genuine relationships and empowerment.
