Hello everyone! We are Patrick and Kathleen Afif. We have two young children, Adelyn (5) and Kullen (2). We moved back to Spokane and into Legacy Ridge almost 2 years ago. We lived in the Spokane area for nearly a decade together, but ended up in Seattle briefly for Patrick's job. When the opportunity to return arose we jumped on it. We always knew when we moved back we would land in Liberty Lake. 

What do we like to do? (Are there parents who actually have hobbies?) As far as family activities and hobbies go, I would say that these will probably grow more as our kids get older. Right now, we enjoy taking in all that Liberty Lake has to offer via our golf cart. Going to the local parks, camping with friends, cooking and baking together are our hobbies these days. We also make a point to go to a couple WSU games a year as a family. Patrick and I enjoy going to see concerts together, too. When he can get away, Patrick enjoys golfing and snowboarding.  

Our children are huge fans of the local Legacy Ridge parks. We enjoy going to Orchard Park as well, especially in the summertime for the splash pad. We all love being by the water especially in the summer months. Our favorite trail for hiking is Tubbs Hill in CDA. When the weather is nice, we also enjoy meeting friends at Trailbreaker where we can sit outside and enjoy the weather while the kids play in the open grass area.

Besides Trailbreaker, one restaurant our family all agrees on is Fujiyama. We love the fact that it is so close we can drive our cart there. Each of us like the bit of entertainment the restaurant provides and the food is so good! We always order the steak and shrimp for two, with a couple of sushi rolls, which feeds our whole family. Lastly, we would be remiss not to mention that we frequent BocoPop all. the. time. The people and drinks are just so awesome there!

We got our dog, Bella, about two weeks before Patrick and I met when she was just a puppy. She is a Papillion Shih Tzu Chihuahua mix. At first, Patrick was opposed to a small dog since he only had large dogs growing up. Ironically, Bella's now more Patrick's dog than mine! We affectionally call her the "Forever Puppy" because even at 10 years old, she still thinks she's a young pup.

Patrick has been working for Stryker Medical the last three years. He works with hospitals, all throughout the state of Washington and parts of Idaho, educating and selling them medical equipment. Before starting a family, Kathleen worked for United Airlines as a flight attendant. She's currently on Family Leave, but have plan to go back. The opportunity the benefits of working for an airline provide are amazing. We can't wait for the kids to be old enough to travel and show the world to! Until then, we'll keep on enjoying camping together in the summer, Schweitzer in the winter, and visiting family in California between. 

It's so nice to call Legacy Ridge home. We feel blessed to live here. Our neighbors are great and we couldn't be happier to be raising our kids in this community.
