From Parade Proposal to Family Life in the M Streets
The Willey-Caram Journey
Mark and Bianca Willey’s love story is one for the books—or should we say, the parade! Back in 2017, Mark proposed to Bianca in grand fashion during the St. Patrick’s Day parade, complete with confetti cannons and a Dallas Morning News photographer capturing the magic moment. The next day, they made the front page of the Culture section!
Since then, St. Patrick’s Day has remained a special part of their lives. In fact, it’s a theme for some of their biggest milestones, like the gender reveal party for their now three-year-old daughter, Jules, who adores everything from princesses to crocodiles. The family even adopted their cat, Luna, during another St. Patrick’s Day celebration.
In 2021, the Willey family made their way to the M Streets, bringing their love of community with them. “We immediately fell in love with the M Streets,” says Bianca. “The walkability, the beautiful trees, and how close we are to Greenville, Knox, and Mockingbird. It’s such a special neighborhood.”
Bianca, a proud Houstonian, graduated from Rice University and later earned her Doctor of Medicine from Texas A&M Health Science Center. She completed her residency at Baylor in Dallas and now practices at Legacy Women’s Health. She’s passionate about caring for women and has been recognized for her dedication to teaching and research.
Mark’s journey is equally impressive. A UT Austin and Northwestern graduate, Mark worked in various roles before diving into entrepreneurship with Offbeat Fitness Studios near White Rock Lake. Now, he’s embarking on a new chapter as an attorney with Vela Wood, a boutique law firm based at Mockingbird Station.
The Willeys are all about staying active! Jules enjoys the playgrounds at Glencoe, swimming at Tietze Park, and is soon starting ballet and gymnastics. “Jules is a ball of energy,” says Mark. “She loves exploring all the parks around here, and it’s great having so many options nearby.”
The family loves running through the neighborhood, exploring local parks, and visiting the Dallas Arboretum's pumpkin patch every fall. “We never miss the pumpkin patch,” Bianca says with a smile. “It’s become a family tradition!”
When they’re not out and about, you’ll find Mark teaching spin classes at Terlingo Cycle or training for marathons, while Bianca relaxes with painting and reading after a busy day at the hospital. They both love their Greenland Hills home and the community that surrounds it. "This neighborhood is unbeatable for its walkability and charm," Bianca says.
If you're new to the area, Mark and Bianca recommend trying out some of their favorite local spots like HG Sply Co, La Calle Doce, and The Old Monk. For family adventures, Port Aransas is their go-to destination, though they also enjoy international travel.
Whether it’s cheering on the Cowboys or taking long runs through the neighborhood, the Willeys embody what it means to love where you live.
