Meet Rohan
I am Rohan Dumpala, 8th grader at Eagle Hill Middle school. I am talented in music (singing/Clarinet). I developed a passion for music in elementary school. As middle school came around, I started playing the Clarinet and I eventually started enjoying it. It became one of my favorite parts of the school day. I further explored Clarinet through private lessons with Mrs Kathy Freer. In 7th grade, I got the opportunity to join Chorale (“Singing”). I started to enjoy singing as much as Clarinet and became pretty good at it. I enjoy performing with other talented musicians and making spectacular music.
My proudest achievement is getting into Area all state for singing in 2023 and selected for All county in 2024 for Clarinet.
I thank my parents, my teachers at school and Mrs Freer for encouraging me.
I admire my parents for pushing me to keep going with music and for always encouraging me the entire way.
My advice is if you want to be a good musician I strongly recommend starting as early as possible to get acclimated to the music environment and keep practicing it.
In addition to music, I enjoy swimming, Boy Scouts and Science Olympiad.
My goal with music is getting into the Wind ensemble for Clarinet and SWING for singing at FM high school.
My desire is to become an “Eagle scout” in Boy Scouts.
Ultimately I want to become a physician and I wish to use music as a hobby and to teach others.
