Hickory High Football State Champions!!!
State Champions!
At the end of this past year, Hickory High School did something that they had not done in a many years. They won the State Championship in football! After going undefeated in the regular season, they went undefeated in the playoffs too! The final game was played in Kenan Memorial Stadium in Chapel Hill when they beat Fayetteville Seventy-First 33-26 to become 3-A North Carolina State Champions! Some of our neighbors took the trip to watch the game live and support the local High School team!
Special congratulations to Jackson Fox, Jackson Neal, Maddox McRee, and Brady Stober, who are Moore's Ferry Residents and members of the team. Brady scored the final touchdown in the last minute with a dive into the endzone that his mom, Kristen, said reminded her of a move diving off the couch he used to do as a child.
Special congratulations to the parents who supported their kids and survived the roller coaster of emotions. This is a fantastic accomplishment that will be remembered by the players and families for the rest of their lives.
