I am a real estate agent for Better Homes and Gardens Foothills here in Hickory. They represented our family with the purchase of their home in Moore’s Ferry and the sale of our previous home.  Once I got my real estate license, I was excited to speak with Mike and Kathleen Kelly, the firm's owners, about coming on board with them as an agent.  Josh has been the branch manager for Toshiba Business Solutions here in Hickory for almost 11 years now and specializes in helping businesses with their office technology.     

We met in Asheville through mutual friends, lived there for a couple of years, and then moved to Hickory as Josh accepted his managing position at Toshiba. We moved here with our dog Nixon, and after I graduated college at LRU, we were ready to grow our family. We love living here and feel it's the perfect place to raise our family! 

Our oldest son, Greyson, will be in first grade this year at Jenkins Elementary. He loves to learn and really enjoys school. Max attends pre-k at First Baptist Church and also loves meeting new friends. He is very goofy and always makes someone laugh. They both played soccer the last two years at the YMCA and have really enjoyed it. They express interest in being on some type of swim team in the future! 

We like to eat at Backstreets, the Hickory Station, Fourk, Boca, and Cafe Rule.  We also like to hit up the playground downtown and grab ice cream afterwards.  

Among our favorite things to do is to go to the beach and visit different areas.  Our favorite vacation spots include Charleston, Hilton Head, Murrell's Inlet, and Destin, FL.  We have a big extended family and usually host Holiday get-togethers, which our home has been perfect for.  Josh is a very good cook, and our family loves to host, so we always tell our guests to come hungry! The other thing we are known for in the neighborhood is that our family has a very active lifestyle.  You can find us walking with our sons and dog in the neighborhood, taking a stroll down the new city walk, going for a bike ride, or even working out in our garage home gym!

I grew up In Shelby, which is just about an hour away and still have family there, so we visit often.  Josh grew up just outside of Raleigh in Wake Forest.  We have lived in Hickory for about 13 years and in our home in the neighborhood for the last 3 years.  We were casually looking at homes once we had our two boys and were growing out of our house.  Once we saw this one on the market, we knew it was the right fit for us! My mom also lives in town just a mile down the road from us.  We aren’t sure what we’d do without her being so close by and our number 1 babysitter!
