Craftsman Cabinets & Furniture

Charles Sparks and Brian Barlow

Craftsman Cabinets and Furniture sells custom-built cabinets and furniture - most built by hand by Amish Craftsmen in Pennsylvania and the Midwest. Most of our fabric and leather sofas and chairs are made in North Carolina. We also sell artwork and other products made by local artists and craftsmen.

I have been in the furniture business for 30 years, and it has saddened me to see most of the major furniture companies pulling out of the area and moving overseas. We are committed to selling products made in America and built from solid wood using construction methods handed down from generation to generation.

The quality of our products, the ability to customize our cabinets and furniture to suit your particular style and needs, and our customer service set us apart from other furniture and cabinet businesses in the area. Most of our customers come back to us repeatedly when they need us, and we are happy to call many of them friends. We work with customers all the way through the process, from the initial design to the final delivery and/or installation, and we want to be there at every step to address their needs.

Always consider buying American-made furniture rather than mass-produced products from overseas. You may pay a little more, but you will get a superior product and help keep jobs here in the United States, ensuring that these skills and expertise don't disappear entirely from our country. Our cabinets and furniture are built to last a lifetime.

I was born in Spruce Pine, NC, but have lived in the Lenoir area most of my life. I've seen this area undergo major changes in my lifetime and am excited that the Hickory Lenoir area is starting to grow and getting the attention and recognition it deserves. My parents and sisters are just minutes away, and it is great to be here to offer each other mutual support when needed.

My journey has been diverse, from serving in the Army at 18 to representing major furniture companies in NC. I even considered becoming an ordained minister before realizing my true passion lay in American-made furniture. When the opportunity presented itself, I decided to open my own business, and since our establishment in 2021, I've had the privilege of working with some incredible customers.

In addition to furniture and cabinets we sell American-made lamps, clocks, rugs, bed linens, pottery and much more. We truly have something for everyone, and we hope you will stop by our showroom so we can show you the quality and craftsmanship of all our products.
