Can you believe it's already August?!

  The first of school is at the end of this month! I cannot believe it! 

In my family, every August we measure our heights on a big wooden height ruler on the wall to see how much we've grown. Some years we grow over two inches! It is a fun tradition and then we always know what height we were at the beginning of each school year.

Summer has been great! 

What I've been liking most has been getting better at Slalom skiing!! That means skiing behind a boat on just one ski. I have been able to go out of the wake!! That is called making a cut; Back and forth across the wake. When I am older, cutting across the wake will make big rooster tail sprays like my Dad does when he skis.  What I've also liked about summer has been going on the boat with my family and surfing with them.

During the summer we usually have a lot of family and friends visit from out of town. I love getting to see them all!!!  This month I get to go to Canada to visit my grandparents.  I'm very excited about that! They live on the prairies beside the Rocky Mountains in Alberta. 

When we start school,  I will be going into fourth grade. I  am excited and nervous all at the same time. Have a very good August!
