Meet Your Neighbors - The Gradys

Keyburn Grady and her family know what it means to support each other through both the highs and lows. It’s no wonder that they’ve found themselves right at home in Muirfield Village, where neighbors supporting neighbors is second nature.

Originally from The Berkshires in Massachusetts, Keyburn went to the University of Massachusetts, where she played women’s college basketball. She was even inducted into the Berkshire County and New England Basketball Halls of Fame.

She then spent time in Chicago, where she received an NBA championship ring from the Chicago Bulls and started a sports marketing company with longtime mentor, David Brenner. Chicago is also where her oldest son, Griffin, and youngest daughter, Tessa, were born. Keyburn also lived in Miami, Florida, where her son, Trevor, was born, eventually making her way to Dublin. She and her family found themselves falling in love with the community, and before they knew it, 20 years have gone by.

Keyburn is currently the Coordinator of Alumni and Media Relations for Dublin City Schools, which naturally gives her the opportunity to be very involved with the community. She oversees the DCS Alumni Association and plans the annual 50-year reunions (this year, she planned the class of 1974’s), the all-class reunion, the DCS Hall of Fame event, as well as the Golden Grads luncheon. Keyburn also manages all DCS social media, which she utilizes to celebrate the incredible school community and the amazing achievements of their alumni. Because of her role, she has close connections to the Dublin Historical Society, the Dublin Community Foundation, and the Nick Rozanski Memorial Foundation, where she sits on the board.

When she’s not working, Keyburn enjoys long walks with her mini Australian labradoodle, Lincoln, taking him on the Muirfield paths or to the dog park at Glacier Ridge Metro Park. She also loves visiting her three children in each of their fun cities.

Keyburn’s oldest, Griffin (26), was a 2016 Coffman High School graduate and a 2020 University of Wisconsin graduate, where he was a linebacker on the football team. He is now a musician in Los Angeles, specializing in hip hop and rap. Trevor (24) was a 2018 Coffman High School graduate and attended Penn State. He currently lives in Arlington, VA and works in logistics. Tessa (19), Keyburn’s youngest, was a 2023 Coffman High School graduate and is currently a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin, where she plays on the women’s basketball team. All three were local athletes in Dublin, playing a variety of sports including soccer, baseball, football, basketball, and more.

Keyburn and her children have always been passionate about supporting each other. Growing up, they rarely missed each other’s sporting events and competitions. Although spread throughout the country now, the Gradys still make sure to show support across the many miles as everyone pursues their dreams.

It’s clear that Keyburn also feels this same support from her community in Muirfield. Over the past 20 years, she’s witnessed the compassion and love the neighbors have shown to her. Whether it was playing sports together or facing a medical hardship in the family, Keyburn has seen her Dublin family rally together and considers them a blessing. She encourages all new residents to get connected to the people, who make Muirfield unlike any other neighborhood she’s ever lived in.
