My name is Geno, and my middle name is Valentino.  I am the latest addition to the family of Jim and Mary Tranchine.  I came to my fur-ever family from Kirksville, Missouri and was one of two brothers born in a litter in December 2023.  My brother was adopted by a family in Kansas (thank goodness I ended up in Pennsylvania!).  I distinguish myself as the smallest of the seven prior shih tzus that have been part of the Tranchine family.     

As a new puppy, I have been exposed to many firsts.  I have great groomers from Groomers Touch, and this is me after my first haircut.

My vet, Dr. Mike, is very popular on television and radio.  Here I am waiting for my first vet appointment with mom.  I don’t take kindly to shots, and mom and dad have to pamper me for a day or two after I get my shots.  

My birthday is December 26, and we celebrated my first birthday on Christmas with a cake and everyone sang Happy Birthday to me.  Mom had to help me blow out the candle.  Although I don’t eat cake, it smelled good!  

I share my charmed life with my older brother, Dino.  He is a real buddy that tolerates the puppy in me.  Here we are with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Christmas.   Since I was a good boy all year, Santa brought me lots of presents to chew on and drive mom and dad crazy with squeakers.  

I love my new home, and better yet, it isn’t in Kansas.
