 Four years ago, Renew Concierge Physical Therapy launched a new method of healing people in pain. “The old clinical model for physical therapy is broken. For a variety of reasons, providers burn out and at the same time, patients don't get the outcomes they need. I wanted to create a new way of treating pain - one that actually works to heal the body,” stated founder and CEO Dr. David Harvitz. One of the major differences between Renew PTs and clinical PTs is how they are trained. Every Renew doctor completes a six-month immersive residency which Dr. Harvitz said is unheard of in the medical community. This process equips the doctors with hands-on experience and trains them on the Renew method of care. “We practice fascial counterstrain, which is a rare form of manual therapy. It treats conditions that other types of therapy cannot,” he added.

 

Another difference between Renew and other clinics is that the insurance companies are out of the equation. The formulas that insurance companies use often restrict care and limit coverage.
