Farmers Bank of Milton

Making Banking Personal

Who wouldn’t want to visit the friendliest, most helpful bank around? Farmers Bank of Milton’s welcoming, community-driven approach has made it a trusted name across five counties in Kentucky and Indiana since 1902. Farmers prides itself on being a hometown bank where each customer is treated with genuine warmth.
“You should feel comfortable with where your money is going,” emphasizes Matthew Graft, Loan Officer with Farmers Bank of Milton. “Knowing the face and name of everyone in the bank you use is essential, as it tells you how important you are to the entity you use for banking services.”
A Family Tradition
Matthew’s ties to Farmers Bank of Milton run deep. A Louisville native, he graduated from Saint Xavier High School before earning his degree at Xavier University. Now, he’s part of the third generation in his family to work at the bank, which has proudly served its customers for well over a century.
“Farmers Bank of Milton is our family business,” Matthew explains. “Ray and Cindy Graft, who are on the board, are my parents. And I’m the nephew of Ralph Pratt, our Chairman of the Board.”
Matthew and his team understand that banking isn’t just about transactions — it’s about building relationships. With a focus on personalized customer service, the bank aims to create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued every time they step into a branch.
For the Graft & Pratt family, banking isn’t just business either — it’s a family legacy rooted in community service, locally owned and managed by people who are interested in and genuinely care about the region.
Over the years, the bank has evolved to keep pace with modern banking needs while maintaining its hometown feel. From deposits and CDs to commercial loans and mobile banking, Farmers Bank of Milton offers a full suite of banking services tailored to meet both personal and business needs.
“We offer everything you need in a traditional bank, including residential and commercial loans of all types,” Matthew shares. But the bank’s real specialty, he adds, is that “We can offer all of the services you need in a bank while providing that unique local banking feeling.”
Deep Local Roots
Farmers Bank of Milton is much more than just a financial institution — it’s an active part of the NoCo community.
From sponsoring local events to participating in volunteer work, the bank’s name is often seen at charity events and community gatherings throughout Kentucky and Indiana. This dedication to community involvement is part of what makes Farmers Bank of Milton a trusted institution and a bank that truly cares.
“We are heavily involved in each of the communities we serve, with most of our employees growing up in the very same communities,” Matthew affirms. He is proud of the bank’s community-first philosophy and is happy to bring that deep sense of commitment to the local area.
“My family has become a part of the Norton Commons and could not be happier,” he concludes. “Please come visit us at your Crestwood and LaGrange branches for a friendly welcome and easy use of our banking services.”
