1989 Lamborghini Countach
ABOUT THE CAR- Sold for $578,226 on 10/4/22
This 1989 Lamborghini Countach is one of approximately 658 total 25th Anniversary models. Over the course of its long production run from 1974 through 1990, Lamborgini made countless updates to the Countach platform. Being from 1989, this and other 25th Anniversary cars are highly sought after as they benefit from over a decade of fine tuning and massive mechanical improvements.
Perhaps the most iconic supercar of the modern era, the Countach’s Marcello Gandini-penned bodywork was updated by the legendary Horacio Pagani for the 25th Anniversary edition. With its prominent fog lights, pop-up headlights, a V-shaped rear wing, and NACA ducts aft of the scissor doors, the 25th Anniversary Countach unmistakably and unabashedly embodies all that makes Lamborghini cars so unique.
Wild looks and wedge-shape aside, the Countach also brought some of the era’s best technology to public roads. In true Italian supercar fashion, exotic Kevlar body panels are mounted over a hand-crafted tubular steel spaceframe. A Bizzarrini-designed 5.2-liter V12 featuring a 60° cylinder bank angle, four valves per cylinder, and Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection sits just inches behind the driver, turning the rear wheels with silky aggression through a 5-speed, gated manual transmission
ABOUT THE PROCESS
This Countach was prepared for and represented during an online auction by north ranch resident Kevin Barrett's company, Barrett Automotive Group.
In addition to car storage and detailing, Barrett works closely with clients to help their favorite machines find new homes. Barrett handles the tedious, often stressful task of car selling, optimizing a vehicle’s representation to ensure that sellers achieve the highest possible value for their cars and buyers receive high-quality vehicles.
Barrett’s Sales Assistance program encompasses various aspects of the selling process, including meticulous detailing, procuring necessary maintenance, assembling documentation, producing a comprehensive gallery of professional photos, and recording video of a given vehicle running & driving. Sale of the vehicle (often via online auction) is then facilitated on behalf of the owner. Barrett manages all inquiries over a 7-14 day period, interacting with potential buyers to elevate their confidence and maximize vehicle value.
