I wanted to share our recent experience with a local small business. L.A. School for Dogs is truly outstanding! They have specialized programs that do much of the work for you but still manage to get us humans trained tool We first met them when Zoey, our very friendly, yet rambunctious Sheffie puppy was just over three months old; she enrolled in their Puppy Head Start Program. We had our very own dedicated trainer who was available in between lessons to answer any questions that arose. They worked with us on a potty and house training schedule, and set us up to prevent bad habits from forming like barking, jumping, biting and chewing things. We learned about the importance of early socialization and of course some basic obedience words. We were so impressed by her improvement that we enrolled her into their three week day training program where she learned further calmness, to walk nicely without pulling and to be polite in public. She emerged as a happy, well-behaved companion.

 The training techniques they use at L.A. School for Dogs are absolutely THE BEST in the business. They excel in being positive, while also being no-nonsense when it comes to holding us accountable! Zoey entered the school each day with her tail wagging, clearly happy to be with her new friends and left each afternoon with her tail still wagging! Our hope is to continue her training and ours, of course, on to the next level. We are so grateful for Jennifer, Emily, Amber and Justin; these trainers are extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and they simply LOVE dogs. They still check up on us to this day. How fortunate for North Ranch to have LA. School for Dogs practically in our backyard. We could not be happier with our experience and have nothing but rave reviews!
