Hi Everybody!

My name is Higgins. I am an adorable, rambunctious and very happy 9-month-old beagle. I live on Oak Pointe Drive.

One cold and snowy Saturday last March, my parents, Jud and Amy Scott came to the farm I was born on in Hudson, Michigan to pick me up. Out of all the puppies there, they chose me to come home with them and become part of our amazing family. My Dad picked me up and said this is the one! So here I am.

I have a nine-year-old sister, Jolene, who is also a beagle. I just cannot get enough playtime with her! Each day from sun up till sun down we play together. She is my best friend. Since she is much older than me, sometimes I have to take an afternoon nap to give her a break.

I love to run around my yard playing catch with tennis balls. I love to have my family toss my purple frisbee to me and try to steal it away to toss it again. I have my own toy box filled with lots of good puppy toys that I play with. I especially love dog chews. They keep me busy so I don’t chew on my family's clothes and shoes. Did I mention that I love to take things that are not mine and destroy them?

In good weather, I am usually on patrol out on my driveway. I love to say hello to my pup friends as they walk on by. Jolene and I always watch for the mail truck-that lady gives us treats if we are outside. My patrolling also includes waiting for the Amazon, FedEx and UPS trucks to stop in front of my house and I especially like trying to catch those troublesome chipmunks.

But, by far my favorite thing of all is just being with my family. Anywhere they are is where I want to be.

I like meeting new people and their pups, so if you ever find yourself walking past my house and see me outside on patrol, please be sure to stop and say hello. Chances are I will already be saying hello to you.
