We live at 3979 Broadmoor Court Howell MI 48843 and are Honored to be the first family introduction of “ STROLL” We excitedly say hello to our neighbors! Our family has lived in Oak Pointe since 2002. We are blessed with three incredible kids; our eldest, Billy lives in Danbury, CT with his fiancee Lee Klocksin and their daughter Aila Rose our first grandchild! Aila was born 2 months early during Covid and is now a thriving 2 1/2 years old. They are expecting their second child in December. Our eldest daughter Danielle lives

locally. She is engaged to Derek Howard and is expecting their first child in October! Danielle and her business partner Rachel Smits owners of Stateside Deli of Brighton recently relocated to the 242 Community Center.  Awesome casual dining AND food! Our youngest Caitlin will tell you we saved the best for last and we are thrilled that she too lives locally and

works remotely.

With Marianne’s father immersed in the Corporate world and Bill’s father and Bill deeply rooted in professional hockey, our lives were marked by frequent moves across the US and Canada. In 1988 we arrived in Michigan with a sense of excitement and anticipation, eager to finally put down roots and create a stable foundation within our new Community.

We were extremely fortunate to have found our parcel of land in the late 90’s. It's incredibly tranquil situated on the canal that leads to Crooked lakes and just under 2 acres. It's our little slice of heaven in Oak Pointe enhanced by the amenities this beautiful community offers. We wanted our children to have the ability to learn how to play golf, participate in swim clubs, and

enjoy lake living. It was a great fit.

After Bill retired from an 8-year professional hockey career, we both welcomed the opportunity to commit to professional excellence and community service. Bill has been in Mortgage Banking since 1988, the last 9 years with Union Home Mortgage. Union is an excellent Company with the core of their culture being, “employing people of excellent character

who also happen to be excellent mortgage banking professionals”. He has been recognized for the top service award while with Union Home Mortgage.

Marianne is a Co-Owner of Partners Real Estate Professionals P.C. along with John MacLeod an Oak Pointe resident also. A full-time Realtor® she has served the industry and her clients for 34 years. She also serves as the President of the Highlands Estates Association for the OPCA

Board in addition to being a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals and Planning Commission

for Genoa township.

Our eldest child Billy attended Brighton High School later enrolling at Shattuck Saint Marys a Private Boarding school in Faribault Minnesota. They won the National Championship for USA Hockey 2001 Under-18 division. He attended Providence University and Curry College and is currently entrenched in the organization, development and success of the Danbury Hat Tricks Hockey Organization. His fiancé Lee works at Princeton University in Development for the Art Museum.

Danielle attended Bowling Green University and was a member and co-captain of their Synchronized skating team. She also skated with the Harmony Theater Team at Kensington Ice Arena winning a Gold Medal in Spain for the International Theatre on Ice Competition. Oak Pointe resident Pam Breazeale was also a part of that same winning team. As a new and private business owner of State-Side Deli who endured the COVID shutdown, we are proud of Danielle’s professional and personal successes. Her fiancé Derek Howard is the engineering manager with Bosch.

Caitlin, our youngest, and Danielle both attended Brighton High School. Their extracurricular activities were spent outside of school sports. Caitlin pursued competitive Dance with “Company” at Madpac Dance Studio and Figure Skating through her high school years. She earned her associate's degree from Phoenix University. She worked in management with Steve Madden, Baker Shoes and Sally Beauty Supplies. ( We all have great shoes by the way!)

We recently celebrated our 42nd Anniversary, having met Freshman year while attending Colgate University. Our favorite family traditions are Holiday gatherings together, celebrating faith and family, enjoying memories, laughter, and some pretty good food and drink as well! We are all thrilled to get together anytime possible as busy work schedules are often a challenge

playing corn-hole and barbequing in our backyard. Our favorite family adventures are enjoying the lakes, traveling together and supporting each other's endeavors personally and professionally. Most recently we traveled to Danbury in May of 2023 cheering on the Danbury Hat Tricks Professional Hockey Team where Billy is the Coach/GM and Part Owner. It was a thrill

watching their 5 game series that led them to their League Championship last Season.

The heartfelt charities we support are Tiny Miracles Foundation, Focus Hope, Project 2 Heal, and NHL Alumni. Each of these charities has touched our lives personally. Paying it forward is important to each of us. We have spent many years in freezing-cold ice rinks but the memories

and the friendships we have built with our hockey, and figure skating families and clients have warmed both our hearts and homes. We do hear the question frequently: “ Are you the Bill McCreary that hit Wayne Gretzky? It's true. Just ask Don Cherry.
