Meet SugarBear: The Sweetheart of the Wideman Family

The Wideman family’s Bichon Frise, SugarBear, is a fluffy bundle of joy who has been part of their lives for seven wonderful years. Mitch, Meredith, and their two boys, Kingston and Berkley, adore their playful and sometimes mischievous canine companion.

The Story Behind Her Name
When SugarBear was a puppy, she resembled a little white teddy bear, sweet and cuddly, hence her fitting name. Her sweetness hasn’t faded with time, and she continues to be a treasured part of the family.

Her Playful Personality
As a younger dog, SugarBear had quite the reputation for chewing on just about anything within reach—from patio furniture and earbuds to couch cushions and shoes. Thankfully, she has since grown out of that destructive phase. Now, she’s more focused on her favorite activities, like basking in the sun, chasing after birds, and playing fetch. A regular trip to the family’s lake house is her ultimate adventure, where she can enjoy the outdoors to her heart’s content.
But SugarBear’s favorite hobby? Annoying her feline sister, Boo. Their playful sibling rivalry is a source of amusement for the family, as SugarBear keeps things lively with her energy and curiosity.

How She Joined the Family
SugarBear was a thoughtful birthday gift from Mitch to Meredith, and she has been stealing hearts ever since. From the moment she entered their lives, her bubbly personality made her an instant hit with everyone in the house.

Spoiled and Loved
Although she’s no longer the mischievous puppy that chewed through everything in sight, SugarBear remains the center of attention in the Wideman household. Her sunny disposition, love for fetch, and ability to bring laughter to her family make her truly one-of-a-kind. There’s no doubt that SugarBear is spoiled with love and affection, just as she deserves.
