STEP OUT in Palos Park!
Lots of fun events in Palos Park…Join the community effort November 2nd to keep Palos Park clean and free of debris Rid-Litter Day! Volunteers will meet at 9:00 AM in front of the Recreation Center, 8901 W 123RD ST, Palos Park. Gloves, vests, and bags will be provided.
Back this year is the Fall Fishing Derby back to Horsetail Lake in partnership with the Forest Preserves of Cook County! On-site registration,104th Ave. - north of McCarthy Road, will start at 8 am with fishing going from 8:30am-11:30am November 9th. Anglers under the age of 16 will not need a fishing license. Prizes will be awarded for the largest catch, smallest catch, and most caught. There will be a limited amount of live bait and loaner fishing poles.
November 11th at 11:00 Honor our Military Veterans with a formal presentation and ceremony at the Palos Park Recreation Center. Light refreshments will be served after the ceremony.
Save the date for Palos Park’s Annual Tree Lighting! December 5th The Palos Park Tree Lighting, Jolly Jamboree & Holiday Market, promises to be an amazing night filled with fun activities, a holiday market for adults & kids, food/beverages, and of course, an opportunity to take photos with Santa. This is a free event, and no registration is needed. The Village tree will be lit at 5:30pm in front of the Recreation Center with the help of Mayor Nicole Milovich-Walters, Santa, and YOU!
Join Santa and the Recreation Department for breakfast and photos on Saturday, December 14th from 10:30am-12:30pm. This event is registration based and spots are limited!
