A Taste of Art

Effortless Entertaining for Spring & Summer Gatherings

There’s something special about the way food and art intertwine. Both invite creativity, celebrate beauty, and bring people together in meaningful ways. As we move into a season filled with graduations, celebrations, and summer gatherings, we wanted to share an appetizer that feels just as much like a work of art as it does a delicious bite. For our May issue, this recipe is the perfect way to elevate any occasion with something beautiful, simple, and memorable.

These Whipped Goat Cheese Crostini with Honey and Berries are light, fresh, and visually stunning, perfect for spring gatherings, garden parties, or a simple evening with friends. With their soft, creamy base, vibrant berries, and delicate drizzle of honey, each piece becomes its own little masterpiece.

Whipped Goat Cheese Crostini with Honey
Ingredients
1 baguette, sliced into ½-inch rounds
1 tablespoon olive oil
8 ounces goat cheese, softened
3 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
2 to 3 tablespoons heavy cream
1 tablespoon honey (plus more for drizzling)
1 teaspoon lemon zest
½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Pinch of salt

Fresh berries (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, or sliced strawberries)
Fresh thyme leaves or mint (optional, for garnish)
Edible flowers (optional, for presentation)

Directions
Preheat oven to 375°F. Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and lightly brush each side with olive oil. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly golden and crisp. Set aside to cool.

In a mixing bowl, combine goat cheese, cream cheese, heavy cream, honey, lemon zest, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Using a hand mixer or whisk, blend until smooth, light, and airy.

Spread a generous layer of the whipped goat cheese mixture onto each crostini. Top with fresh berries, allowing the colors to naturally shine.

Finish with a light drizzle of honey and a sprinkle of fresh thyme or mint. For an extra artistic touch, add a few edible flowers to the platter.
