The McCulleys’ Journey: From Razorbacks to Relaxation

This dynamic family blends a love for travel, family, and luxury with their new venture, Woodhouse Spa

This month, we’re thrilled to highlight the McCulley family—longtime Pinnacle residents who exemplify the vibrant, close-knit community spirit we all love. If the name sounds familiar, it’s because we’ve had the pleasure of featuring their family before. From their pup, Charlie, who captured hearts as one of our favorite Precious Pets of the year, to their unforgettable European travel tales, the McCulleys have long been part of the Stroll Pinnacle family. And now, we’re excited to share their latest venture—Woodhouse Spa, located just outside Pinnacle’s north gate, a mere golf cart ride away.

A Love Story with Arkansas Roots

Chip and Brooke McCulley’s journey began at the University of Arkansas, where Chip studied Landscape Architecture and Brooke majored in International Business and French. The two met at a bar (Brooke laughs now, admitting she wasn’t even supposed to be there), but when Chip offered to buy her a margarita, the rest became history. Married for 18 years, the McCulleys have built a beautiful life filled with family, hard work, and a shared love of adventure.

A Dynamic and Active Household

Their children, Tripp and Maddie Grace, keep them busy and smiling. Tripp, 16, is a football player for Bentonville High School, a budding pilot earning his license at Thaden Field, and a talented guitarist. Maddie Grace, 12, cheers for Fulbright Junior High’s Timberwolves and competes in cheerleading with Infiniti Athletics. She’s also an artist, a social butterfly, and the family’s resident event planner, always dreaming up her next big party.

Embracing Pinnacle Living

The McCulleys moved to Pinnacle in 2017, drawn by its proximity to Bentonville and its welcoming atmosphere. As Arkansas natives and proud Razorback fans, they’ve embraced all that Northwest Arkansas has to offer—from frequent visits to the Bentonville Farmers Market to cheering on the Hogs at major sporting events. They’re regulars at Mojitos (their love for Mexican food is legendary), June’s at the Club, and live music nights at Red’s during the summer.

When they’re not working or shuttling their kids to extracurriculars, Chip and Brooke love to travel, often hosting family holiday gatherings at their home. Brooke’s parents live nearby in Pinnacle Groves, while Chip’s family visits from Paragould. Their three dogs—Charlie, Hazel, and Rosie—round out their lively household. Each pup has a distinct personality: Charlie, their beloved lab, is a neighborhood favorite; Hazel, a Boykin Spaniel, loves hunting trips with Chip and Tripp; and Rosie, a French bulldog, is the family’s self-proclaimed queen, ruling the roost since Santa brought her into their lives.

Living in Pinnacle, Brooke says, feels like being part of an expat community. “We’re all from such diverse backgrounds, often without family close by. So what do we do? We make a family here. It’s a place where carpooling kids, sharing holiday traditions, and group gatherings come naturally.”

With their deep ties to the area, it’s no surprise that the McCulleys’ latest endeavor—opening Woodhouse Spa—is a reflection of their commitment to enriching the community.

Woodhouse Spa: A Luxury Retreat in Pinnacle Country Club’s Backyard

Chip and Brooke’s passion for creating memorable experiences inspired them to open Woodhouse Spa, a luxury day spa just outside Pinnacle’s north gate. “Chip and I love to travel,” Brooke shares, “and one of our favorite things to do is visit spas and enjoy unique treatments. When we’d return to Rogers, we often wished for a similar experience closer to home. We weren’t the only ones—more and more people were looking for the same thing.”

Creating a World-Class Experience

Recognizing this need, the McCulleys set out to create a sanctuary that combines world-class treatments with a welcoming, luxurious environment. Woodhouse Spa offers guests a chance to recenter and rejuvenate, whether they’re sipping champagne by the fire, enjoying a transformative massage or facial, or simply taking a moment to breathe.

Nestled in the vibrant Rogers community, Woodhouse Spa offers a full luxury experience from start to finish. Guests are welcomed with luxurious robes, chocolates, and a choice of beverages while they relax in the serene lounge area by a cozy fire. From there, the possibilities are endless—transformative massages, advanced facials, and indulgent body treatments designed to melt away stress and leave guests feeling renewed.

Building Connections and Community

“We focus on all the details,” Brooke explained. “It’s the little things that matter most. We want each guest to feel comfortable in our space, nurtured while they’re here, and transformed when they leave. Everyone leads such incredibly busy lives, so we want to provide a moment just for them.”

Since opening in December, the spa has been met with an outpouring of community support. Guests have embraced the opportunity to slow down and treat themselves, while local businesses are eager to collaborate, and groups are already booking the spa’s private party room for special occasions. Over the holidays, the spa became a go-to for gift cards, as people sought to share the gift of relaxation with their loved ones.

Brooke and Chip and kids are thrilled to offer a space that nurtures the mind and body. They’re committed to not only growing their business but also enriching the vibrant PCC & Northwest Arkansas community they call home. “This area is so unique, with people from all over the world and so many tourists visiting,” Brooke said. “We eventually plan to open a second location, but for now, we’re focused on building connections and partnering with others to make this community even better.”

With Woodhouse Spa, the McCulleys have created more than just a place for treatments—they’ve established a sanctuary of peace and renewal. Whether you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life or simply indulge in a well-deserved moment of self-care, Woodhouse Spa is a welcome addition to the heart of Rogers and just a golf cart ride away!
