Les Schwab Tire Center In Timnath, Keeping Your Life In Motion
“We care about people first. The rest just follows,” said Seth Jones, General Manager of the Les Schwab Tire Center in Timnath. “We’re in the people business. We just happen to sell tires and do auto repairs. We take care of our people – everyone from customers to our employees.”
“When you put people first – when you care about their safety, the quality of their vehicle, and your relationship with them, everything else happens naturally. We care about people, so we do our best on the job. We care about customer service, so we put our customers first. Anyone can sell tires, but not everyone cares about people like we do,” added Seth.
Les Schwab has been servicing cars and changing tires for nearly 75 years. They started with a single location in Prineville, Oregon in 1952. Since then, they’ve expanded to hundreds of locations nationwide, but they have never lost their people-first mentality. The heart of Les Schwab is its employees. They offer profit-sharing packages and only promote managers from within. It’s no wonder employees stay for decades.
Seth grew up in the Pacific Northwest. Shortly after high school, he started sweeping floors and putting away tools at the Les Schwab location in Omak, Washington. He was a quick study and soon found himself helping with repairs. “It felt really natural to me. I picked it up fast and fell in love with the work, and the company,” he said.
He worked for two years in Omak before landing his first promotion. Seth, his wife, and their three kids moved to Pendelton, Oregon where he took on a sales and service professional role. “I found that I really liked working on that side of the business,” he detailed. “I like to work with our customers and train employees.”
Company leadership soon recognized Seth could take on even more. His family moved again to Kalispell, Montana where he took on an assistant manager role. “I didn’t go to college or get any formal education after high school,” Seth said. “I’m still so grateful that I’ve been able to build a career and support my family at Les Schwab.”
In 2016, the Les Schwab Tire Center in Timnath opened. Seth and his family took a leap of faith when the company offered him the General Manager opportunity in 2021. “It was a big jump but I’m so glad I did it. I have the weight of the store on my back, but I’ve found my stride. I think we have one of the best locations,” he said.
“Our team is simply amazing. We’re all a big family. Everyone respects each other and we all care about the establishment and our customers. That’s a recipe for success and it just works,” he said. The Timnath Les Schwab team is made up of 11 highly experienced mechanics. They have the depth and breadth of knowledge to repair and maintain your car to keep you safe and on the move.
The Timnath Les Schwab Tire Center is a full-service auto repair and tire dealer. They also work on commercial vehicles and onsite maintenance. The Center keeps your vehicles in motion with tire repair and replacement, brake service, alignment, batteries, shocks, struts, and more. They also offer a full line of snow tires.
“Our goal is to be your trusted shop for all your car and tire repairs. We focus on customer service – we greet you in the parking lot and do exactly what we say we are going to do. We also offer same-day service to get you back on the road,” said Seth.
“The other thing that sets us apart is that we’re involved in the community,” Seth explained. “We sponsor the Larimer County Fair Junior Livestock Auction, Pack a Backpack, Toys for Tots, and the Salvation Army’s Christmas gift program. We also sponsor the first responder hockey team, and we sponsor athletics at all the area high schools. We give back to the community that gives us so much.”
“We’re in the business of people. We don’t just care about sales or money; we want to make sure your vehicle is safe and will last for a long time. You can count on us to do it right. You can count on us to keep you moving,” Seth said.
