The Good Life Home Maintenance Solutions ~ The Future of Home Maintenance

“I strongly believe we are the future of home maintenance,” said Luke Buelow, Owner of The Good Life Home Maintenance Solutions. “It’s a huge investment to buy a house and it’s an investment worth maintaining. It’s crazy that we have professionals to maintain our cars, but homeowners are expected to maintain their own homes. We are your home maintenance professionals. We’ll make sure your home is taken care of and we’ll help you protect your investment.”

Luke Buelow grew up in Minnesota and Wisconsin. From a very young age, he worked in home and yard maintenance. After high school, he first earned an associate degree in Golf Course and Grounds Management. He then went on to complete a Business Management and Leadership degree from Wisconsin Lutheran College. He spent the first fifteen years of his career working in landscaping and facilities maintenance, before becoming an operations manager.

He then transitioned into the plumbing industry where he learned the ins and outs of the systems that make a home function properly. “When it comes to fixing and maintaining a home, I’ve just about learned it all,” he said. “If not, I can certainly figure it out.”

In 2021, Luke and his family made the move to Northern Colorado to be closer to their extended family. Not long after, Luke decided to make the leap into entrepreneurship. “I was at a conference once when the speaker said something about the secret is to build a long-term relationship with your clients. That really resonated with me,” he said. “I began brainstorming about how to do that in the home maintenance realm. I wanted to do something different – I wanted to build lasting relationships.”

That’s exactly how The Good Life was born. “We’re so much more than just a handyman company,” he detailed. “We don’t just come and do one job and then never talk to you again. We are here to be the first team you think of when you need help with your home. But that’s not all, we’re going beyond that. We are here to do your preventative maintenance for your home, just like you do with your car.”

The Good Life serves all of Northern Colorado with handyman services. They also provide plumbing services from water heater repairs to garbage disposal repair or replacement. Their work doesn’t stop there. What sets The Good Life apart from competitors is its Home Maintenance Membership program.

This program includes a comprehensive list of preventative work to ensure your home – your biggest investment – is safe, functioning, and conditioned to last. The program includes annual servicing for appliances such as water heaters and HVAC systems. It also includes dryer vent clean-outs and routine maintenance of the plumbing system. The team checks all safety items including battery replacement for smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. They check for gas leaks and test gas-burning appliances for proper exhaust. They can also help homeowners tackle any to-do lists around the home. “We take care of your home, so you can spend your time on what matters most,” said Luke.

“In my career, I’ve been in thousands of homes. Over time, I’ve seen what people miss. We based our Home Maintenance Membership program on experience. Rather than waiting for things to break, we take care of them so they work properly and last longer,” he said.

Luke is joined by his lead plumber, Greg Schlauer. Greg was born and raised in Fort Collins and has decades of experience working on homes. “He’s awesome at what he does,” Luke said. “He’s a great plumber and has tons of experience. Between the two of us, we can figure out anything that comes up inside or outside the home.”

“Our only goal is to be an honest home maintenance partner. Homes are too complex and technical for owners to be expected to care for all aspects of the home. That’s where we come in. We can help you with anything from preventative maintenance to plumbing and beyond. We’re here to help you take care of your biggest investment. You can trust that we’re the future of home maintenance,” said Luke.

When Luke isn’t working, he loves to spend time outside golfing, camping, and fishing. He and his wife, Mandy, have three kids – Emma (9), Laney (7), and Bennett (4).
