“We have worked together long enough that we complete each other,” said Christie Swanson. “I know how he works, and he knows me. We’re efficient but we also do a great job together. We love to transform spaces and create a finished product that our clients love.”

 

Together, Jeremy and Christie Swanson own and operate Swanson Systems, LLC. They specialize in home remodeling and repair services for homeowners across the Front Range. While Jeremy and Christie have taken on projects of all shapes and sizes, the spaces they transform most commonly include bathrooms, basements, and kitchens.

 

Jeremy started working in construction at the age of 16. Over the years, he has worked in nearly every facet of the business. Over time, Jeremy went from working on the exterior of homes to the interior. He mastered the art of flooring, tiling, and remodeling along the way. After many years of working as a subcontractor, Jeremy founded Swanson Systems ten years ago.

 

“At some point, it just made more sense for us to work together,” explained Jeremy. “Christie was a para at a school and was looking for something else. I said she could join me. We decided to just see how it would go. She started working with me and it never stopped working.”

 

They’ve now worked together for many years and have completed hundreds of projects along the way. “He has taught me everything I know and expects perfection, which I love about him,” said Christie. “It’s just the two of us but we get a lot done together. I cut the tile while he places it. I hang drywall while he measures and cuts. We bounce ideas off each other and we work so smoothly together.”  

 

The pair have built quite a reputation for themselves in Northern Colorado as trustworthy and honest contractors. More than half of their business comes by word of mouth and many of their clients have become repeat customers. “Our biggest selling point is that it’s just us. We manage the whole project from the design to completion. We don’t subcontract anything out and we’re there the whole time. In construction, the owner of the business rarely does the work but that’s what you get with us,” said Jeremy.

 

Jeremy and Christie manage upwards of 35 projects a year. They recently completed a full-basement remodel, turning the space into a modern-day speakeasy. “It’s beautiful,” said Christie. “The space was designed to hold an enormous whiskey collection. It has tin ceilings and really cool built-ins. The bathroom has heated floors, a six-piece shower, and a floating vanity. It’s one of the coolest custom jobs we’ve ever done,” Jeremy added.

When they’re not working, Jeremy and Christie enjoy their blended family. Jordan is their oldest, currently serving in the Army. Landen has one son named Caiden, making the Swansons first-time grandparents. Their daughter, Cameron will be starting college in the fall. Ethan is busy with high school sports, and Preston is their youngest. He is currently very interested in all things Japanese. The Swansons love to travel and they’re avid Nuggets and Broncos fans. Jeremy is also pursuing his home inspection license and Christie has her real estate license and serves clients in Northern Colorado.
