Mulberry Maids ~ Your Environment Matters
Evan and Michelle
“Plenty of studies prove that you're happier when your environment is clean, decluttered, and peaceful. When your environment – your home – is clean, you have increased well-being. We never lose sight of that. By cleaning someone’s home, we make their life better. We make them happy,” said Michelle Driscoll, Co-Owner of Mulberry Maids. “Your environment matters.”
Michelle Driscoll and Evan Blumberg met through the Outdoor Club at Colorado State University. Following college, Evan worked in the field of geology and Michelle pursued a master’s degree in public health.
With several years of working in their respective fields under their belts, Evan and Michelle felt ready to follow their dreams of starting a business. “We wanted to create a business where good people want to work. And beyond that, we wanted to have a business that offered something tangible and good for our clients,” said Evan.
A home cleaning service just made sense with Michelle’s background in public health. “I saw over and over that someone’s environment played a big role in their overall health. By reducing stress and helping people keep their homes clean, we’re able to make people healthier,” she said.
In 2018, Michelle and Evan opened Mulberry Maids. They’re focused on building a healthy environment for both their clients and their employees. Mulberry Maids prides itself on offering flexibility, company culture, and work environment.
In a region with plenty of competition, this mindset has paid off. The business has grown steadily, and they have a committed crew of more than twenty employees. With hundreds of positive online reviews and a strong referral network, Mulberry Maids cleans more than 350 homes a month.
They offer move-in and move-out cleans, one-time deep cleans, and recurring services. One thing that is unique about Mulberry Maids is their online gift cards. “A clean is such a great gift for new parents, people who are injured or sick, or even just for a holiday. It’s easy and it’s so appreciated,” said Evan.
The Mulberry Maids team has created a strong reputation by focusing on their people. “We don’t hire just anyone. We look for people who share our vision and see the value in our work,” said Evan.
“Our team is really awesome. Everyone puts their whole heart into the job and our clients notice. People love coming home to a clean house. It takes a big stressor off people’s plates and creates an environment where they can truly relax,” she added.
Evan and Michelle note that their admin, Lauren, has been an integral part of their growth. Lauren has worked with them for three years and has built strong relationships with many of their clients. “We couldn’t do this without her,” Evan said. “She’s the one that helps our team succeed and helps ensure that our high level of customer service is maintained.”
Mulberry Maids has grown significantly since it started but they’ve never lost sight of what matters most – providing amazing cleans and even better customer service. “At the end of the day, what matters most is how people feel when they walk in the door,” said Michelle. “Our goal is for our clients to feel peace after every single clean.”
Mulberry Maids offers a 100% Happiness Guarantee. “If you’re not satisfied, we’re not satisfied. If for any reason you’re not happy with your house cleaning service, we’ll come back out to re-clean any spots we may have missed. This is to guarantee that with Mulberry Maids, you will get the cleaning that you and your home deserve,” said Michelle.
The company is also committed to giving back to the community. Mulberry Maids donates to the Food Bank of Larimer County to help ensure no one goes to bed on an empty stomach. “Our community has supported us so wholly, so this is a small way we can give back in thanks,” said Evan.
