Up until this past summer, Kyle and Morgan Traynor had never lived outside the Midwest! They are both from Wisconsin and had been raising their two daughters, 10-year-old Leighton and eight-year-old Dylan, in the suburbs of Minneapolis,Minnesota. A couple of years ago, they began contemplating moving to the Bay area, and after much prayer and research they decided on River Hills. They moved to Laurel Pointe in July, and with Morgan’s parents close by in Ft. Myers and Kyle’s parents, who still live in Wisconsin,quickly becoming frequent visitors, they say River Hills is starting to feel like home!

Kyle and Morgan have known each for most of their lives. They grew up in River Falls, Wisconsin, attending school and almost everything else together! After high school graduation, they went off to different colleges but married after college graduation.They celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary this summer on July 5th - the day after they moved into their new River Hills home.

The family says this new year in their new home will be all about creating new memories and starting new traditions. This Thanksgiving, they started a new tradition with a family day at Disney, and they are making lots of new memories with trips to the beach, golfing, going to the Club for dinner, and just enjoying their new home. Leighton and Dylan are staying plenty busy here too. Leighton loves to swim, watch baking shows, and do arts and crafts. Since Leighton is on the autism spectrum, finding the right fit for her school was essential. She attends Pepin Academies, and the family cherishes inclusivity at school, home, and in the community. Dylan attends Foundation Christian Academy and enjoys piano, tennis, gymnastics and golf. She is also very fond of all the dogs that live in the Laurel Pointe neighborhood! 

Morgan has an undergrad in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and attended St Thomas University in St. Paul, MN for her Masters in Business Administration. She is the Director of Global Sales Acceleration at Procore Technologies, a construction management software company. She feels honored to represent the construction industry and advocates for Women In Construction. Kyle attended the University of Sioux Falls in South Dakota and played soccer in college. After graduation he attended Northwestern Health Sciences in Minnesota, where he received his Doctorate and now works as a chiropractor. Since Leighton’s autism diagnosis, they are both extremely passionate about advocating for the special needs community. Morgan is a Board Member of The Shooting Star Foundation, which raises funds to support families unable to pay for their child's special needs therapies.

Vacations: Switzerland is a favorite vacation, especially the town of  Zermatt. They say hiking and train and gondola rides through the Alps was an overwhelmingly beautiful experience. They also enjoyed traveling to Venice, Athens, and Mykonos, and just love exploring new cities together. Next summer they are headed to Paris for the Olympics where they will be in red, white, and blue supporting the American athletes. When they first moved here they went to a new beach every weekend.

Sports, Activities, and Hobbies: Kyle and Morgan love to golf ! When looking for a community to move into, River Hills, with its beautiful golf course, seemed to be an amazing fit for them.

Restaurants: They love the Club. They say the food is amazing and they try to have family date night there at least once a week.

T.V. Shows: Survivor and Amazing Race is a family favorite.

Sports Teams: Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers!

Things to do as a Family: They are enjoying being at their new home and swimming in the pool. Coming from Minnesota they didn't have a pool so the girls love it!

When the Traynors first came to tour houses in the area, their realtor suggested River Hills. Morgan says that when they drove up and were greeted by Maddie at the front gate, they knew this was the neighborhood for them! In addition to our beloved Maddie, River Hills also gave them a sense of community and security wrapped in beauty from the moment they drove in.
