Hi there, neighbors! My name’s Bossbaby, but you can call me “Boss” if you’re in a hurry (or out of treats). I’m a four-year-old red Doberman with a sleek coat, a nose for mischief, and a heart as big as my paws. My mom, Kimberly, rescued me through Gulf Coast Doberman Rescue. She’s been fostering Dobies since before I was born, but let’s be honest—she hit the jackpot with me.
I wasn’t always this confident. When I arrived, I was anxious, insecure, and had absolutely no idea what "sit" or "stay" meant. But Mom worked her magic, and now I’m a certified good boy—most of the time. Sure, I occasionally help myself to a snack off the counter (I call it "counter surfing," and yes, it’s a sport), but who could blame me? It’s not my fault I’m tall, athletic, and have a nose for the good stuff.
Let’s talk hobbies. My favorite? Chasing bubbles. Yes, bubbles! Mom sprays those little floating wonders, and I go bananas trying to catch every single one. Water sprays? Also a blast. I’m like a furry water park enthusiast. I’m great with kids, too—especially my human nephew, Rowan. He’s my buddy, and we share a bond that makes my tail wag just thinking about him.
Now, about my name. I arrived at the rescue as just “Boss,” but Mom quickly realized I was more of a “Bossbaby.” What can I say? I’m tough but adorable, just like a baby tiger. Speaking of tigers, here’s a fun fact: I love stalking her around the house. I’ll slink around, tail low, ears up, until—boom!—I dash toward her like the mighty jungle cat I am. It’s our little game, and I win every time.
I’d be remiss not to mention my best four-legged friend, Tuta. Running and playing with Tuta is the highlight of my week. But no matter how fun the day is, I never forget where I came from. I was an owner-surrender, nervous and unsure of my place in the world. My mom changed all that. She gave me love, patience, and a forever home when I needed it most.
Some might say I’m spoiled, but Mom prefers “well-loved.” (Tomato, to-mah-to, right?) She even says I helped her after the loss of her mom. It’s funny how life works—she saved me, but I think I saved her right back.
So here I am, living my best life in River Ranch, where the countertops are high, the bubbles are plentiful, and the love flows like water from the garden hose. If you see me around, feel free to say hi—but fair warning, I might try to swipe your snack. After all, I’m Bossbaby, and I live up to the name.
