Meet Lily!
A little bundle of joy!
This is Lily! She is a 10-year-old Yorkshire terrier.
She was born and adopted in Missouri in 2013, but she has done a lot of traveling! She immediately moved to Ohio to be with her new owners Andy and Stacy who were stationed at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio.
The following year, Lily moved to England when Andy received an assignment to RAF Alconbury. During her 3 years in England, Lily was able to travel around the United Kingdom, including Scotland and Wales, as well as visiting her motherland, York, England.
Lily moved back to the U.S. when Andy got an assignment to Whiteman AFB, MO in 2017. In 2018, Lily received a feline sibling named Zelda, a tortoise-shelled cat. In 2020, Andy retired from the Air Force. This is when he, Stacy, Lily, and Zelda moved to Springfield, MO. Also, in 2020, Lily got a younger human brother named Eli.
The family has lived in Rivercut for several years, and Lily is frequently seen going on multiple walks each day around the neighborhood with Andy, Stacy, and Eli, but Zelda prefers to stay home. If Lily doesn’t feel like walking, she may also be found hitching a ride in the bottom of Eli’s stroller!
Lily is very protective of her owners! She's known as the doorbell because she always tells her owners when someone is at the door. She's a cuddle bug, but only with her parents.
Her favorite game is tug of war, and her favorite toy is a bacon-flavored squeaky bone (which gets on her parents' nerves!). Lily is talented too! She knows a few language signs for sit, lay, sit up, "adieu", and she can bark quietly. Lily will do anything for a banana!
She is not always on her best behavior though. When the family was in England, they had a fenced-in yard with a hole underneath it. Lily noticed some huge rabbits in the next yard, squeezed herself under the fence, and went rabbit hunting! Andy had to scale the fence in his pajamas and slippers to get to her, and he had to walk all the way around the block just to get back to the house. Just another memory for the family!
For a small dog, Lily is a big part of the family!
