Creating “Rough Life” Memories
Sharon Adams, General Manager
When was the last time you attended one of Rough Hollow’s events? Community events are about creating memories and designed to bring residents together to strengthen and build community. Events are held for the benefit of residents and their guest, and we want everyone to be able to enjoy this added benefit, as we work to offer a diverse number of activities.
Rough Hollow has a full-time dedicated Lifestyle Director onsite, Rachelle Sturgis, who has been dedicated to Rough Hollow for over 10 years, whose main responsibility is “FUN”! Every August/September, she starts planning all the events for the following year and creating a budget for approval. Some events have been a tradition in Rough Hollow and held annually, such as the Easter Egg Hunt and the Santa event, while others change out based on current situations and availability of vendors, such as Magic Shows or Concerts.
Rachelle stives to appeal to all ages and lifestyles! She holds fun kids’ events, as well as activities for adult. Some are specific for the lady’s and others just for the guys! She welcomes new ideas, so if you want to see something added to the event schedule for 2024, please reach out to Rachelle at Rachelle.Sturgis@fsresidential.com.
Many of the event are paid for by your HOA Assessment that goes to Highland Village, but sponsors play a big part in keeping those cost down. If you have a business, are a reality, or want to promote your business at an event, you can reach out to Rachelle and discuss those options.
