Founded by the culinary visionary Joon Young Jeon, JLB Eatery has become a staple across the city, and the Royal Oaks location is no exception. This latest establishment owned by JR Irvin, a former oil and gas financier with a lifelong passion for the restaurant industry, promises an experience that combines culinary excellence with heartfelt service.

JR Irvin’s career began in the world of oil and gas finance, but his passion for food has been a constant in his life since he started working in restaurants at the age of 12. His transition from finance to food was a natural progression, driven by his love for feeding people. JR, alongside his wife, Vivien, embraced the restaurant industry wholeheartedly, bringing his lifelong passion to the forefront. His dedication extends beyond the restaurant, as he has been an active volunteer and board member of Kids’ Meals since 2009. This incredible organization feeds preschool-aged children in need, delivering meals directly to their homes.

The new JLB Eatery, located in a transformed Subway storefront, boasts a welcoming and spotless environment. The restaurant’s philosophy of "good food, good service, and be clean" is evident from the moment you step inside. During a recent tasting event, 34 Royal Oaks residents were treated to a sample platter featuring a variety of delectable items: a juicy cheeseburger, lean Cajun wings with buffalo sauce, savory steak quesadillas, flavorful London shrimp, and Cajun fish, all accompanied by crispy fries, tartar, and cocktail sauce.

Each burger patty at JLB Eatery is a generous ½ pound, ensuring a hearty meal. The homemade bread, buns, and multigrain options, crafted from Joon's secret recipes, add an extra touch of uniqueness and quality to every dish. The guests raved about the freshness and flavor, with many already planning their next visit.
