School: I am in 8th grade at South Middle School.

How long have you been involved in your sport? I've been dancing since I was 2. Cheer since I was 5 and all other sports since I was 6.

What position do you play? I can play all positions in many sports! You need someone to fill a spot...I'm your gal!

Who is your favorite coach/instructor? My favorite dance instructors are Miss Jeanette Aylward and Miss Laura Gates. My favorite softball coach is Rich Streske. I give a special thank you to all of them for believing in me!

Are you on a team? Yes, I am on the Ensemble Dance Team, Mt. Prospect Comp Cheer Team, KR FastPitch Softball team, and the South Basketball Team.

Which of your many sports is your favorite and why? I have always loved to dance! I love Ballet the most because of the valuable skills I have learned from it. It has taught me poise, confidence, good posture and discipline. I have Ballet to thank for helping me build a strong foundation for success in all of my sports.

What is your favorite/proudest moment? When I'm on stage performing for others. I love putting a smile on the faces of others while I perform on stage. After hours of practice and hard work leading up to a performance, it is a great feeling when I am finally ready to take it to the stage.

What are some of your sports highlights? I was Cheer Captain for the Mt. Prospect Comp Cheer Team and helped lead us to State. My South basketball team recently won regionals. And over the holidays, I performed in the Nutcracker!

What advice do you have for others? WORK HARD - PLAY HARD. It is so important to always practice. The more you put in, the more you get out. If you don't like a sport anymore or you are getting frustrated with the results, stick it out for a bit and keep trying. You don't want to look back and regret that you gave up without putting in your best effort. 

Beyond sports, what do you like to do? I love helping people. I really care a lot about others which is why I want to be a nurse when I grow up. I am a member of First Baptist Church of Arlington Heights. I have three siblings. Spending time with my siblings is the best!! I babysit for many of the families in Scarsdale. I love art too! 

Who do you have to thank for helping you get where you are today? I am so grateful for my parents who take me back and forth to my endless activities. I am thankful that God has blessed me with natural talent. It ALL comes from HIM!
