Meet Tugboat!
Tugboat is a 10 year old goldendoodle and part of the Ben and Sarah Delia family of Hillcrest Road. (He'll be 11 on July 25; come give him a birthday pat!)
Where did you get Tugboat?
My husband Ben got him as a puppy from a gentleman in Parkesburg, PA.
Is there a story behind his name?
It comes from the TV show "How I Met Your Mother." In one of the early episodes, one of the main characters laments losing his beloved dog, Tugboat, to his ex-wife in a custody battle. It was funny, so it stuck!
Anything special or unusual about Tugboat?
Tugboat has never met a human or a dog that he didn't love.
What do you like best about him?
He's perfect in every way.
Any funny stories?
There have a been few notable counter surfing incidents over the years...
We were thawing shrimp in the sink a few years back, only to find that Tugboat was able to somehow help himself to the entire lot of it!
Another time, we had a beautiful cheese tray for a large dinner party. As soon as the guests moved into a different room, Tugboat took it upon himself to finish the whole thing!

Anything else that you would like to share about him and how he has enriched your home and family?
Tugboat is our best buddy. Everyone who has ever met him can attest to his happy demeanor. It's hard to have a bad day when your dog is smiling!
